Another apple tree that was developed in the prairies. Hardy, delicious, and good storage. Late summer harvest (thus the name.) A lovely red apple that is perfect for fresh eating/juicing etc.
We've grown these here and one of our favorites! Definitely productive!!
6-foot tree in 5-gallon pot.
Apple trees should be pruned for improved production and easier picking!
*Apple trees in rural areas need a cross-pollinator to produce fruit (most urban centres have enough pollen from neighborhood apple trees). 2 different varities of apple trees are needed to achieve cross-pollination.
