The Crimson Passion is easily grown in Alberta. This plant is hardy to our zone and does not require cross pollination! This variety has one of the higher "brix-ratings" which means there are more sugars than some of the other prairie-hardy cherries.

Not the same as a "BC Cherry" as they are slightly tarter, but they are both gorgeous and delicious.

With proper care they should begin to bear significant fruit in 3 years.

Wonderful for fresh eating, pies, jellies etc.

Does not require pollinator.

These are fast-growing trees but it will be a couple years before they bear significant fruit.

"Yes! You CAN grow cherries in Alberta!"

This unique tree has interesting bark, white blossoms in spring (that bees LOVE) and fruit that can ripen to a dark burgundy if you can resist picking them before that!!Cherry trees require well-draining soil. Excellent planted nearby your home where you can pick them readily as you walk by and also enjoy the beauty of your tree!

2 gallon pot size.

You will be emailed for order pick-up in late-April to early May depending on weather.
