Not quite an apple, not quite a crabapple. It's something uniquely in-between.

Its also one of the most beautiful trees you can grow.

In the spring, the branches are covered in gorgeous blooms that grow into deep red small fruit. Bees LOVE this tree. This apple-crab is smaller than an apple, larger than a crabapple. Leave the apples on the tree until a real cold snap, as the flavour will improve. Excellent for juicing, jelly, or simply eating 5 apples instead of one. They are deliciously tart but not TOO tart!

Tasha steam-juices hers, adds an unnecessary tablespoon of honey and stores quart jars for delicious juice during the winter.

6-foot tree in 5-gallon pot.

Zone 2

Trees will reach a mature height of 15-20 feet and a spread of 12 ft. apple trees should be pruned for improved production and easier picking!
